At Desro Design Co. we believe that great design tells a story–one that is collected over time, rich in personality, and grounded in the comfort of tradition.
Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Merchandising and Textiles, Courtney worked several years in sales and marketing in the hospitality, healthcare, and building industries. In every role, she has always found a creative outlet to convey her vision in both a relatable and energetic way—one where the client experience and the finished result are both of utmost importance.
In the Spring of 2024, Courtney opened Desro Design Co. out of a dream to combine her passion for beautiful interiors with her love of building lasting relationships. While she enjoys keeping up with the industry trends, she is equally as passionate about implementing elements that are refined and feel polished. Inspired by the ability of transformation, juxtaposition of mixing old with new, and never being afraid to play around with color, texture, and pattern!
owner, founder, and lead interior designer of Desro Design Co.
Specializing in southern interiors, we offer a collaborative boutique experience, tailored to each individual client’s lifestyle and desired aesthetic.
From heirloom-inspired details, to custom furnishings and layered finishes, every space we help create is intentionally curated. Our approach is both refined and approachable —blending traditional design principles with fresh perspective to deliver elevated interiors that truly make a house feel like home.
In Courtney’s spare time, she enjoys visiting antique stores and estate sales vying for hidden gems, traveling (noting Venice, Italy as her current favorite destination), spending quality time with family and friends, trying out new recipes, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats!
Courtney attributes her dedicated work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit to her Father, Rick Desrochers, who has built a reputation for his quality craftsmanship in the painting industry, best known for his work among residential new-construction, historic property renovations, equine, and many commercial jobs. Rick and his team specialize in custom stain work and lacquer finishes, including the meticulous, monochromatic color-drenching trend on the rise. Courtney enjoys collaborating with her father on restoring and painting furniture pieces and accessories —adding a little something unique to a space.

Any random hobbies?
I love reading my kindle, organizing, spending time in the kitchen trying out a new (or long-beloved) recipe, or planning out my next trip’s itinerary.
How do you stay updated on current industry trends?
I love attending design markets and relatable events (recently discovered The Design Social Pop-Up and am obsessed with the concept!), flipping through coffee table books (always!), constantly learning from other designers/trades, and seeking inspiration from travels, especially from fun hotels and restaurants.
How would you describe your personal design aesthetic?
My personal style will always be rooted in traditional design principles. I love lots of layers and mixing transitional or modern elements to keep things interesting and sometimes a bit unexpected. I will always advocate for a floral motif or geometric print.
It is really important you find a designer that resonates not just with your aesthetic, but that you can trust will spend the time, no matter how long it takes, to create something that both tells your story and brings you joy–not just for the season of NOW, but for decades to come.”
"Nothing about design should happen overnight. Your space deserves to be thoughtfully curated.
